15 Minutes of Fun with Leomie Anderson

With legs to my shoulders, smouldering looks and enviable style, it’s understandable why I have a huge crush on model Leomie Anderson.

After avidly following Leomie’s journey on Channel 4’s The Model Agency, it was clear that she was one-to-watch in the industry:

PB: Just out of the madness that is Fashion Week, what have been your highlights and lowlights of the shows?
LA: Fashion Week was crazy as ever this year but the highlight had to be walking for Jeremy Scott in New York and working with Rihanna twice during and after London Fashion Week for her River Island Collection! Low points were just being tired all the time and running around in the cold!

PB: You showcased some of Rihanna’s collection for River Island at Fashion Week. Were you nervous walking for such a famed celebrity?
LA: To be honest I was more excited than nervous! I had met her before five years ago and she remembered me which was really nice! Just wanted to make the clothes look the best that they could!

PB: I attended a show recently where there was a fateful nip-slip on the runway. Have you had any embarrassing moments?
LA: Well nip slips are a regular occurrence during fashion week {laughing}! Iʼve had one myself during Berlin Fashion Week but to be honest I didn’t really find it embarrassing at all! Love my nips!

PB: You have a reputation as an incredibly personable model. Have you had to work with any challenging egos?
LA: There are always scenarios where you just don’t get on with someone but you just suck it up and work around them and then call them horrible names in your diary after or something {laughing}.

PB: You have featured in multiple articles as one-to-watch this year. Have you any icons whose footsteps you’re hoping to follow in?
LA: I kind of want to do my own thing. Thatʼs why I started my blog crackedchinacup.com so people could get to know my personality more as thatʼs what I would like to be known for.

PB: Last year you walked for Philip Treacy’s AW12 show in a casting of all black models. Do you think awareness has increased surrounding the once prodigious lack of ethnic models in the industry?
LA: The awareness has increased but not much has changed. In a show there are usually only two spots open for ethnic models out of a cast of twenty or more. Itʼs stupid but I hope it will change in the future.

PB: You have modelled for Fashion houses such as Marc Jacobs, Giles and Loewe. Are there any designers you’re hoping to work with who you haven’t walked for yet?
LA: I would love to walk for Givenchyʼs menswear show like Joan Smalls! I love the menʼs collection and would love to be one of the few girls featured.

PB: And finally… Will you be my BF4L, please…?
LA: Of course! With a surname like Bugg I would love to be you BF4L!
